Privacy Policy
Last updated October 30, 2026 · El Tucan Room is operated by Tucandela Wynwood Corp · Wynwood, Miami, FL (next door to Tucandela Wynwood)
This policy explains what information El Tucan Room ("we", "us") collects when you visit our website or our venue, buy tickets, join a guest list, reserve a table, chat with us or message us on Instagram or WhatsApp, and how we use it. We do not sell your personal information.
What we collect
- Tickets: your name, email and the tickets you buy, and the IP address and browser type of the device you check out on. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your full card number.
- Guest list: your name, phone number, the night you sign up for, and optionally your email and date of birth (for birthday perks).
- Table reservations: your name, phone number, email, party size, date and occasion.
- Chat and messages: what you write to our website chat assistant, or to us on Instagram or WhatsApp, and any details you share there (for example your name, phone number or reservation details).
- Email list: your email and name if you subscribe or buy tickets, and whether you open or click our emails.
- Text list: your mobile number if you choose to join our text list, and a record of your consent: when and on which page you joined, the exact wording you agreed to, and your device and IP address.
- Venue visits: if you reserved or paid at El Tucan Room, our reservation and point-of-sale systems keep your name, contact details and your visit and spend history.
- Website use: pages you visit, the link or ad that brought you, your IP address, device and browser type, and general location, collected with cookies and similar technology (see Ads and measurement).
- From partners: if you bought tickets for one of our nights through a ticketing partner, we may receive your name and email from that partner.
How we use it
- To sell and deliver tickets, run the guest list and hold your table.
- To answer your questions and confirm reservations, including through our chat assistant.
- To run our 21+ policy, for example removing anyone under 21 from our marketing lists.
- To send you event news and offers by email. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link in every email.
- To send you event texts, only if you joined our text list (see Text messages).
- To show our ads on Facebook and Instagram to past guests and to people with similar interests (see Ads and measurement).
- To understand which of our marketing works and to improve the website.
- To keep our systems secure and to meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Text messages (SMS)
Joining our text list is optional, is for adults 21 and older only, and is never required to buy tickets, join a guest list or reserve a table. If you tick the text-list box, you confirm you are 21 or older and agree that El Tucan Room may send you recurring automated marketing texts about our nights, guest list openings and offers at the number you gave us. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
- Stop anytime: reply STOP to any text to cancel, or HELP for help. You can also email events@eltucanroom.example. We honor opt-outs promptly.
- When we text: only between 8 AM and 8 PM in your time zone.
- Your number stays with us: we do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or your text-list opt-in data and consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with the provider that delivers our texts, and only to deliver them.
Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run the business, and only for that purpose:
- Stripe (payments) · Mailchimp (email) · Google (Analytics and Ads measurement) · Meta (Facebook and Instagram advertising and measurement, Instagram and WhatsApp messaging) · a text-message delivery provider, only to send our texts
- Toast (point of sale) · SevenRooms (reservations) · Cloudflare (website hosting and security) · DigitalOcean (our server) · AI providers that generate chat assistant replies (Anthropic and DeepSeek), which receive the text of your chat messages
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our guests and staff.
Ads and measurement
We use Google Analytics, the Google tag and the Meta Pixel to measure visits and ad results. These tools may set cookies. Our own visit counter does not use cookies: it counts unique visitors with a scrambled code that changes every day and cannot follow you from one day to the next.
When you start a ticket checkout and when you complete a purchase, our server also reports it to Meta (the Meta Conversions API) so we can tell which ads led to a sale. Each report includes the tickets and price, your IP address, your browser and device type (the "user agent"), the IDs the Meta Pixel saved in your browser's cookies, and a random visitor ID our website keeps in its own cookie (it holds no personal information; the Meta Pixel on our pages sends the same ID). If you arrived from a Meta ad, our website also keeps that ad's click ID in a cookie for 90 days so the report can credit the ad. Your email, name and phone number, when we have them from your purchase, are hashed, meaning turned into a scrambled code, before they are sent. The mobile number you give for our text list is never included (see Text messages).
We may also share the hashed names, email addresses and phone numbers of past guests and ticket buyers (never numbers from our text list) with Meta to build ad audiences, together with a number for how much each guest has spent with us, so our ads reach people who already know us, or people similar to our guests. Meta uses the hashed values to match them to Facebook and Instagram accounts; it does not receive your name, email or phone number in readable form.
To be left out of these ad audiences, email events@eltucanroom.example with the subject No ad matching. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad personalization at Google Ad Settings and in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences.
How long we keep it
We keep reservation, guest list and chat records for as long as needed to serve you and run our events, and transaction records for as long as tax and accounting rules require. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
Delete your data
To see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, including data from Instagram or WhatsApp conversations with us, email events@eltucanroom.example with the subject Delete my data and the email or phone number you used with us.
We will confirm and complete your request within 30 days. We may keep records we are legally required to keep, such as payment records.
Age
Our venue and events are strictly for guests 21 and older. Buying a ticket, joining a guest list or reserving a table online does not verify age: every guest must show a valid government-issued ID at the door, and anyone under 21 will be refused entry. Ticket sales are final, as stated at checkout.
Our email and text lists are for adults 21 and older only, and joining the text list requires confirming you are 21 or older. If we learn that someone under 21 is on one of our marketing lists, we remove them. This website is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a minor has given us information, email events@eltucanroom.example and we will delete it.
Security
We protect your information with access controls, encrypted connections and trusted providers. No system is perfectly secure, so please contact us right away if you think your information has been misused.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy and will change the date above when we do. Questions: events@eltucanroom.example · Tucandela Wynwood Corp, Wynwood, Miami, FL (next door to Tucandela Wynwood).
